Versatile Trailers was founded by Rob Ikola in 2000, beginning as a small operation in his garage where he crafted standard utility trailers. Many of the early designs were sketched on napkins or scrap pieces of paper, evolving organically as ideas were refined and customer needs grew. This humble start quickly blossomed, and by 2004, the company began developing formal cut sheets to meet the increasing demand for their quality trailers.
Initially serving just a handful of dealers in Oregon and Northern California, Versatile Trailers' reputation for excellence fueled steady growth. As business flourished, Rob recognized the need to expand the team and find a larger facility to accommodate increased production. In 2013, the company took a significant step forward by purchasing a building on Kester Road to support their continued expansion.
In 2020, a new chapter began when Rob decided to step back from the business to focus on his property and winery. Brandon Ikola took over the reins and became the owner of Versatile Trailers. Under Brandon's leadership, the company has significantly expanded its dealer network, which now spans as far south as San Diego, north into Canada, and east to Salt Lake City, with numerous locations in between.
